of elderly
Concrete goals: Development of the Center for
support of socially excluded categories of inhabitants,
integration and reducing of social isolation of older
people in Surčin by providing health care, legal, social
and psychological support and development of clubs for
the elderly |

Objective: |
The rights of older people in
South East Europe to freedom from discrimination are
fully realized leading to a reduction in their poverty
and an improvement in their quality of life. |

Main activities: |

quality of life of older people through increased
capacity to influence policies and attitudes
affecting them.

benefit from reduction in discrimination by their
families, local communities and municipalities
through increased awareness and recognition of their
needs, rights and contributions.

Programme, in co-operation with Ministry of
labor, employment & social policy and National agency
for employment. |

Objective: |
Increased level of skills, knowledge and self-esteem of
long-term unemployed and groups at risk of social
exclusion in the City of Belgrade. |
|
Main activities: |
Within the project three clubs for unemployed will be at
function - placed in Belgrade downtown, Surčin
municipality and Busije refugee settlement - offering
four training programs and other services aimed at
enhancing employability of unemployed people.
In addition, the clubs will be open each working day
providing computers with Internet access, daily
newspapers & magazines with job announcements,
individual job search coaching & counseling with
psychologists as well as facilities for social
gatherings & relaxation.
The clubs’ facilities & services are free of charge. |

Who can be the club
beneficiary? |
In order to apply for training programs candidates have
to be registered at National agency for employment as
long-term unemployed and need to meet one of the
additional criteria:
• unemployed two years or more,
• self-supporting parents,
• women,
• refugee / displaced with recently acquired SCG
citizenship
• over 45 years old.
Meeting one of the additional criteria will be
sufficient.
240 long-term unemployed people
from the City of Belgrade, will be involved in the
project.
